Ignore Transactions by URL: Keep Noisy Endpoints Out of APM

You can now keep health checks, pings and other noisy endpoints out of your APM data by listing their URL patterns in the Atatus dashboard. Atatus APM agents that support the setting skip transactions whose URL matches a pattern.

Dashboard patterns need Python agent 2.2.0, Ruby agent 2.1.0 or Node.js agent 3.5.0 or later. Agents that don't read the dashboard setting can still exclude URLs in their own configuration.

What you can do

• Set it from the dashboard: Manage the URL patterns to ignore in Atatus instead of in each application's agent configuration.
• Supported agents: Python 2.2.0, Ruby 2.1.0 and Node.js 3.5.0 and later apply the patterns you set in the dashboard.
• Agent options still work: You can also exclude URLs in the agent configuration, for example with ignoreUrls in the Node.js agent.
