You can now keep the data from your Go services in the Atatus India region, and stop health checks and other noisy endpoints from showing up in Atatus Go APM without redeploying. Go agent 1.6.0, released at the end of September, includes these and a few other changes.
Update to Go agent 1.6.0 or later to get all of them. The Go agent release notes list the changes, and the Go installation docs cover setup.
What's new in the Go agent
- India data region: Set
ATATUS_REGION=in, orRegioninTracerOptions, to send data to the India region. Leave it unset to keep using the default region. Do not combine it withATATUS_NOTIFY_HOST,ATATUS_SERVER_URLor the server URL settings below, because the agent logs an error and turns itself off. A value it does not recognize, such asus, also turns it off. - Ignore URLs from the dashboard: The agent now reads the URL patterns in Settings > Agent Settings > APM Settings > Ignore Transactions URL, at startup and every 30 minutes, so you can skip an endpoint without changing code. Use
*as a wildcard. TheATATUS_TRANSACTION_IGNORE_URLSsetting still works, and it is the only source of patterns for the Echo v4 and chi integrations. - Separate server URLs: Point APM, analytics, traces, logs and profiling data at different endpoints, such as your own proxies, with
ATATUS_APM_SERVER_URL,ATATUS_ANALYTICS_SERVER_URL,ATATUS_TRACES_SERVER_URL,ATATUS_LOGS_SERVER_URLandATATUS_PROFILING_SERVER_URL. - cgroup v2 hosts: The agent now detects the container ID and Kubernetes pod on hosts that use cgroup v2. There is nothing to configure.
